Apostasy Chart: Satan’s Blueprint
X-Ray of the Ecumenical Monster
The purpose of this pamphlet is to give you a simplified picture of Satan’s complex master plan, referred to in Scripture as “the mystery of iniquity” (2 Thessalonians 2:7), resulting in a great “falling away” (religious apostasy) and culminating in the reign of Antichrist, the false “god” (II Thessalonians 2:4–10; 1 John 4:3; Revelation 13). Appearing as an “Angel of Light” (2 Corinthians 11:13–15), Satan and his “ministers” deceive millions (Matthew 24:3–5, 11; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Peter 2:1–2). Study the chart carefully and prayerfully (clockwise), starting at top.
Satan inspired Karl Marx, son of a Jewish Rabbi, to produce the Communist Manifesto, the “bible” of the Communist movement. Three significant influences shaped his thinking — Hegel (atheism, revolution); Feuerbach (modernism) and Darwin (theory of Evolution). Marxism, or “dialectical materialism,” strives to achieve (via revolution) a godless, classless society, promising utopia by practicing the principle: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” (Modernists, including members of the World Council of Churches’ Executive Committee, have endorsed this formula as having “its roots in the teachings of Jesus”). Marxism has produced a crop of pro-Communist clergymen (as shown on the chart at top) who became the pioneers in replacing Biblical Christianity with a Marx-flavored “social gospel.”
Out of this diabolical volume came the Bolshevik revolution in Russia, engineered by Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, etc. Lenin, the “father of modern Communism,” declared: “The chief task of Communism is the world-wide dissemination of atheism.” Anti-God Soviet (Socialist) Russia has enslaved several nations, as shown on chart with chains, and Communism has conquered more than 900 million people.
The “Communist International” with headquarters in Moscow has as its battle cry: “Banish God from the skies and capitalism from the earth.” It has tentacles in every country; operates “underground”; employs “infiltration” and carries out its objectives through deceptive “fronts” (see chart), a device invented by Lenin. A special target is America, the base of world missionary endeavor and thus the strongest bulwark against world Communism.
The Kremlin’s powerful arm, the Communist Party, U.S.A., adopted the tactic of infiltrating religious organizations as a major policy. Their agents were funneled into schools (such as Dr. Harry F. Ward of Union Theological Seminary, New York City) where they could train pro-Marx, modernist clergymen. The graduates then worm their way into the denominational machinery and seek strategic positions where they can pervert Christianity and promote Communist purposes.
G. Bromley Oxnam, the most powerful Bishop in the Methodist Church, has a 20-year record of Communist-front activities with at least nine such subversive connections. Of the leading Communist-fronts in the U.S.A., 17 out of 25 are headed by clergymen.
In 1953, the Rev. William Howard Melish, a notorious Communist-fronter within the Protestant Episcopal Church, was asked “for the second year in a row to lecture in a seminar for missionaries going to the foreign field, sponsored by the National Council of Churches.” The subject assigned by the NCC was, “The Christian Values in Communism.”
Dr. Nels F. S. Ferre, professor at Vanderbilt University School of Religion and Andover-Newton Theological Seminary as well as a leader in the National and World Council of Churches, recently wrote: “If Marxism should conquer the whole world, this might be merely the prelude in economic arrangement to the blossoming forth within it of the deeply-sowed seeds of Christian faith and expectations. Marxism may be God’s means to Christian fulfillment in history. “
The next step was to undermine the Bible. Eight clergymen with Communist-front connections (some graduates of Union Theological Seminary) helped produce the Revised Standard Version, which is full of destructive errors. Through the modernist-controlled machinery of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the U.S.A., it is being forced on its 30 affiliated denominations, seven of which are shown on the chart.
Another step for modernistic control of organized religion in the U.S.A. was the governmental appointment of “Chief of Religious Information” of the U.S. Information Agency, a strategic outlet for the propaganda of the ecumenical-minded liberals. (The N.C.C.C. enrolls nearly 40 million Protestants in U.S.). The COMITY program, or “area planning” would require approval from the local ministerial union (arm of N.C.C.C.), in order to build any new church, a conspiracy to curtail independents.
The World Council of Churches was established in 1948 and is controlled by pro-Marxists such as Bishop Oxnam, Dr. Visser ‘t Hooft, and Bishop Bell who openly subscribed to the Marx creed quoted at top of chart. Communist agents from Iron Curtain countries who have been placed in control of old ecclesiastical setups are now representing the same in the World Council of Churches. Note particularly Professor Josef Hromadka from Red Czechoslovakia who was decorated by the Red regime (which murdered fundamental pastors). Even the fake Russian Orthodox Church, a Communist propaganda institution, is being wooed by the WCC. The 30 denominations of the National Council of Churches are a part of this nefarious setup which is pushing the “Ecumenical Movement” for building a world super church. A further step will be the marriage to the idolatrous Roman Catholic hierarchy. The finished product will be an apostate world church and the reign of the Antichrist as described in Scripture.
Bishop Ivan Lee Holt, former president of the Federal (National) Council of Churches, forecast the world church in these words: “The Protestant churches must first unite, then a Catholic Protestant Church could meet the Greek Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church and work out a plan for a world Christian Church.” Bishop Oxnam in 1948 officially introduced the plan and said the goal was “to form the Holy Catholic Church to which all Christians may belong.”
Roman Catholicism is beginning to respond. The editor of the “Catholic World” magazine, Rev. J. B. Sheerin, addressed the “Fatima Action” group in New York on March 9, 1958 and the N. Y. Times reported: “A Roman Catholic editor said yesterday that he hoped the unity movement would he ‘so successful’ that it would bring them into the Vatican fold. Dr. Sheerin’s remarks on Protestant unity efforts — often called the ecumenical movement — were made in a talk on the conversion of the United States to Catholicism. Catholics were urged by Dr. Sheerin to ‘take an interest’ in the union movement of the World Council of Churches, an association of more than 160 Protestant, Anglican and Orthodox communions. The success of Protestant unity he said, could cause ‘a total return to the one fold’ of the Roman Catholic Church.”
Pagan religions are also included by ecumenical planners. The September 1955 issue of “National Council Outlook,” official organ of the National Council of Churches, reported with delight on the so-called “Festival of Faith,” engineered by the San Francisco Council of Churches on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the United Nations. Quote: “There were meetings with leaders of various faiths...meetings with the bearded patriarchs of the Molokan sect, with Mormons, Christian Scientists, Seventh-Day Adventists, with Buddhist priests and Hindu Swami. There were also negotiations with the Board of Rabbis of Northern California and with the Roman Catholic archdiocese... “ The results were a “joining of hands” by officials of the National and World Councils of Churches with the founder of the “Baha’i World Faith” cult and emissaries of pagan religions. Quote: “They called on God by different names” ...and engaged in 11 recitation together of the Responsive Reading com posed of sentences from the sacred books of the six faiths represented — Christian, Jewish, Moslem Buddhist, Hindu and Confucian.” The National Council Outlook commented: “The Festival itself represented both a triumph of organization and a symbol to all the world of man’s hope for peace. It is probably true that such an inclusive assembly has never before been achieved in a single service.”
Thus we see the anti-Christ elements of “the mystery of iniquity” at work — Marxism, Communism, Modernism, Roman Catholicism, cults, pagan religions and United Nations, World Government forces — all synchronized by Satan to pave the way for the eventual universal worship of the new “god” — the Antichrist.
The battle is on. If you love the Lord and the Word of God — join a separated, bible-believing church and therein serve the Lord Jesus Christ until he comes!
