Former Boy Scout Staffer Accused of Molestation - By Lawrence Morahan
Harry Potter Books: Stage-setting for Tribulation Sorcery
WASHINGTON (BP)--Police have charged a 34-year-old California man with sexually molesting seven teenage Boy Scouts with whom he came in contact over the past three years as a staff administrator at a Scout camp.
Glenn Jordan was arrested at his home in a San Diego suburb during the week of Aug. 21 and charged with 33 counts of child molesting, according to the Internet news site CNSNews.com. He is currently being held in the San Diego Central Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
Jordan is charged with lewd acts ranging from sex with a foreign object
to sodomy. Authorities said the investigation is continuing, and they expect
more charges to be filed against Jordan.
Prosecutors said the allegations involve seven boys who were scouts and
worked as staff members at the Mataguay Scout Reservation, a camp located
50 miles east of San Diego and operated by the Desert Pacific Council of
the Boy Scouts of America.
Jordan was a full-time administrative employee whose duties included setting up programs for Scout troops that came to the camp, typically for week long stays, a spokesman for the Desert Pacific Council told CNSNews.com.
The young men Jordan came in contact with were older scouts who were working for the camp on an off-season basis, the spokesman said.
Detectives from the sheriff's child abuse unit began the investigation in June after an alleged victim told his parents about the allegations. Other victims then decided to come forward with more allegations, Police Sergeant M'Liss Hinshaw told CNSNews.com.
The Boy Scouts' spokesman said Jordan received stellar reviews from people
who monitored him as a scout and by people who rated him when he supervised
the seasonal camp staff.
Jordan joined the Scouts at age 11 and worked himself into a position of
influence and power, and the allegations are that he used that position
to violate the trust of young people, the spokesman said.
"[Molestation] is a problem that happens in the school grounds with teachers, in the sports field with Little League coaches, in the church with church leaders, even in homes. You'll have an uncle or family friend who you'll come to love and trust who will violate that trust, and it has nothing to do with gender," the spokesman said.
The Desert Pacific Council has had meetings with the parents and the staff members who potentially could have been involved in the incidents.
"We've had a tremendous amount of support given to those folks. As you can well imagine, there's a wide range of emotions. It would be wrong for me to characterize what any one parent is feeling, but from our side, we're feeling both anger and sorrow," he said.
"Our sorrow goes to the kids and the families who've had to struggle with this," the spokesman added. "Where we are now is figuring out what to do to make things right with these kids and help them to get whole, so we provided counselors to the staff throughout the summer. Anybody who's been identified as a victim has been provided counseling as well, and we will do whatever is necessary to help these young people work through this problem just like they would work through any other problem in their lives."
Meanwhile, in Oklahoma City, a former Boy Scout troop leader was sentenced to 200 years in prison Aug. 25 after he admitted having sex with five boys under the age of 14. Robert Malcomb Jr., 35,pleaded guilty to 61 of 107 charges against him, and prosecutors said they planned to introduce evidence of even more victims.
Malcomb pleaded guilty to multiple counts of rape, forcible oral sodomy, lewd acts with children and one count of bestiality over a three-year period from 1994-97. Before his arrest in 1997, Malcomb had been a Boy Scout leader for a troop of 12 scouts that met at Putnam City Central Middle School.
"Obviously the Scouts have a problem with homosexual pedophiles," said Peter LaBarbera, director of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality. "My question is, `Why isn't the media interested in that story?' They're all interested in promoting the attacks on the Boy Scouts as a discriminatory organization,' but they show no interest in this ongoing problem of pedophilia and deviant behavior by homosexual Scout leaders."
"The media war on the Boy Scouts has gone way too far," LaBarbera added, "and people are starting to resent the media for this. I don't detect a groundswell of concern from parents who really wish they could have a homosexual in their troop."

(ELB: It is so ridiculous to even thinking about putting homosexuals as scout masters. How much longer must Americans go in considering such stupidity?)
"Children in this country have the good fortune to be occupied with less serious matters -- and millions of them tonight are preoccupied with a phenomenon. The subject matter may be familiar to you -- the world of Lord Voldemort, Quidditch and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft. For those who do not know what we are talking about, this is the Harry Potter phenomenon. `Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' goes on sale with great fanfare at midnight Friday. This is the fourth in the series of books by J.K. Rowling that has lured children away from television and video games and a great many other things. Why are children clamoring to read a 700-page book? Why would any parents consider this a bad thing? And why has a children's story sparked a fight about the best-seller's list?" ABC NEWS' World News Tonight, July 6, 2000, E-mail)
(AP) - Children eager to grab the first volumes of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" crowded bookstores at midnight Friday, grabbing up volumes of the boy wizard's fourth magical adventure. Stores nationwide happily accommodated their wishes, with parties and sleepovers. Web-based companies like Amazon.com and Kozmo.com gave others the chance to get the books as fast, if not faster, from their homes... "The most important and magical outcome of this story is the love of reading that Harry Potter has rekindled among readers of all ages, especially young children," said Barnes & Noble Vice Chairman Steve Riggio, whose company promised same-day delivery of books ordered by 11 a.m. Saturday. Like Waterstone's in Great Britain, some Barnes & Nobles in the United States invited youngsters to bring sleeping bags and await the witching hour. At the Glasgow Waterstone's, events manager Kim Hardie called the response phenomenal, saying "about 80 percent of my time in the last fortnight (two weeks) has been spent dealing with Harry Potter queries."
"...In Minnesota, Michigan, New York, California and South Carolina, parents who feel the books promote interest in the occult have called for their removal from classrooms and school libraries...Harry and his classmates attend the celebrated Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. According to certain adults, these stories teach witchcraft, sorcery and Satanism. But hey, if it's not one `ism,' it's another..." (The New York Times, October 22, 1999)
"...The Harry Potter books have sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and been translated into 31 languages. They totaled 98 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list and in Britain last year occupied three of the top five slots...And there is a film...Now, in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, death comes for us, too. The identity of the corpse is secret until next Saturday, though she will say that it is a character we care about. `Yes, this is the book in which the deaths start. I always planned it this way..."(The Times, June 30, 2000)
"What were the most memorable books you read as a child? - `...I also loved...of course, C.S. Lewis' Narnia books.'" (Salon)
"Witchcraft is the fastest-growing religion in America today." (`E',"Hollywood Spirituality," July 25, 1999) "`You're famous, Harry Potter.' Its true! This prophetic remark in Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the first in a seven-book series on popular witchcraft, was fulfilled in record time. The first three books hit the world schools, libraries, and the New York Times best-sellers list like a spiritual tidal wave, breaking down barriers to the secret and forbidden mysteries of the ages and captivating children around the world. Just look around...Harry, like other students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry travels back and forth between two worlds: the mystical world of magic and the mundane world of muggles those boring, blinded, and biased humans who either don't believe in the world of witches or who despise it as evil. Harry's cruel aunt and uncle fit the last category. And, from Harry's point of view, so would you if you see witchcraft as dangerous and demonic...Harry lives a miserable muggle life in his uncle's London home, constantly tormented by his cruel guardians and a spoiled bully of a cousin. But on his eleventh birthday everything changes. He discovers that he is a wizard of great fame, someone who once conquered death and crippled a devilish foe. Even better, he receives an acceptance to Hogwarts a coveted boarding school for aspiring wizards...REMEMBER HISTORY'S LESSONS. The witchcraft and wizardry in Harry Potter books may be fantasy, but they familiarize children with a very real and increasingly popular religion one that few really understand. Far removed from the terrors of tribal witchcraft and shamanism, Americans are oblivious to the bondages that normally follow occult favors. But historical and archeological records have traced the earth-centered myths, practices, and consequences through the millennia. They have verified the timing of certain Old Testament accounts of droughts, famines, and wars -- three consequences that God's people would face if they traded His truth and strength for the Canaanite gods and rituals. (Deut. 28, 1 Cor. 10)..." (Bewitched by Harry Potter, by Berit Kjos)
Comments:
Rev. 9:20-21, And the rest of the men which were not killed by these
plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not
worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and
of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they
of their murders, nor of their SORCERIES, nor of their fornication, nor
of their thefts.
I Tim. 4:1, Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
Gal. 5:20, Idolatry, WITCHCRAFT, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath,
strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings,
and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in
time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom
of God.
The Bible is clear that in the last days witchcraft and sorcery will be widespread. In fact, it even reveals that many Christians will be caught up in it! These Harry Potter books are right on time in the end time scenario. We all know it. We all expect it. But it is so sad to watch. It is hard to watch so many young children embracing blatant witchcraft. There was a time when children's fiction stories contained dragons and witches; yet they were always evil. Then things began to change: 20th century fiction and fantasy began to divide witchcraft into the "good magic" and "bad magic." Even magnificently talented writers such as J.R.R. Tolkien (1892-1973) and C.S. Lewis (1898-1963) helped to plant the foundation for sorceries revival in our day. As wise as they were in so many things, they were often very naive in regard to evil and Satan's whole agenda. Tolkien did write about evil goblins; yet he would make the wizard to be a good guy. C.S. Lewis followed this practice by pretending that there is good and bad magic, and that God Himself used the "good" kind. He would make "magicians" (i.e. sorcerers) to be the good guys. For these reasons, these most wonderful books, filled with deep, Christian insights, deserve to be thrown into the trash can. What a waste. No parent should allow a child to read such books. What does God think about Christians making wizards and sorcerers out to be good guys for the minds of young children? Mark 9:42, And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Lev. 20:6-7, And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
These Harry Potter books are dangerous because they are ten times more blatant about the so-called wonders and glories of witchcraft and magic; yet they contain none of the insights or Christian analogies of early children's books. We must beware. The Salem Witch Trials were caused by children playing with divination and witchcraft. The children would have "out-of-body-experiences" and be carried about by men on broom sticks with pointed hats. Many good people were murdered as a result. Sorcery brings evil wherever it goes. It is not just fantasy. We have children killing one another all across the land because they think Satan will give them power if they shed blood. J.K. Rowling needs to hang her head in shame for her irresponsibility. I hope she doesn't think the devil has allowed her to become a multi-millionaire just because she is a talented writer! She is bringing millions of young minds into the occult, and is helping to bring in the Antichrist. If you are a Christian and these words offend you, it is probably because your mind has been seduced by a devil. Kingdom Alert Update
Congress has gone into an investigation frenzy over the Firestone tire failures on certain Ford vehicles. They immediately began to subpoena officials of both companies to try to find an explanation as to why these tires failed, and why there had not been a recall of these tires much sooner.
Now I am sorry for the deaths and injuries caused by the tread separation on the tires. Firestone may go bankrupt over the fines and lawsuits that have been launched against them. Ford will suffer great loss over this. Trial lawyers are advertising in newspapers and on television seeking clients who may have suffered death or injuries because of the Firestone tires. Trial lawyers will no doubt become millionaires over what has happened.
I am extremely sorry for the death and injuries suffered through the use of these tires. The companies that are responsible should be punished for their failures in this matter. To hear them talk, you might think that many thousands of people had died in the U.S.A. from these tires. If only one died, that is too many, but as I understand it, only 88 fatal accidents have happened in our nation.
The Congress and the lawyers are making a mountain out of a molehill. They are swallowing a camel and choking on a gnat.
THE CURSE OF ALCOHOL. More than 15,000 dies each year from drunk drivers. Many others die as a result of alcohol related accidents. Countless crimes influenced by people drinking alcohol, result in injuries and deaths. When will Congress ever try to stop the ungodly liquor industry? They will not do so, because boozing and non-boozing congressmen are getting tremendous contributions from the liquor industry.
THE CURSE OF HOMOSEXUALITY. Many thousands have died through the spread of aids and other diseases by homosexuals. When will congress investigate the homosexual community, and try to stop the practice of homosexuality? They will not do so, in fact more and more they are trying to help the homosexuals spread their pernicious sins. The House of Representatives just recently voted by 232 to 192, to include protection to homosexuals under the hate crimes bill. This means they will have the same protection as racial minorities. We are just-one-step closer to making it a crime to speak out against homosexuality. This will eventually, if not soon, make it a crime for a preacher to preach against this awful sin. If you doubt this, just wait and see. Homosexual clubs are now officially recognized in some High Schools, and we will see more of this. They are now doing their best to recruit the youth of our nation to a filthy homosexual way of life (or should I say the way of death?)
THE CURSE OF ABORTION. About 1,500,000 babies are aborted in the U.S. every year. When will congress investigate and stop this awful inhumane practice? They won't, because they don't have the morals or courage to stand up against this ungodly practice. A considerable number of these are killed by partial birth abortion. This means that they are removed from their mothers body, all but a part of the head, then sharp scissors or some other instrument is inserted in the skull to make an opening for a powerful vacuum tube. Then they suck the brains of a living baby out. Now there is a shortage of skilled laborers in our nation, so we import legal aliens to fill those jobs. In addition we have opened our borders to take in vast multitudes of illegal foreigners with false religion and socialist thinking into our country. Why don't we have the skilled and unskilled laborers that are needed? The answer is very simple. We have allowed more than 30 million babies to be killed since Roe vs. Wade was passed. Many of these would have been productive citizens, but they were murdered by permission of our nation.
We could go on with other examples, but we may do so at a later date.
Rev. 6:10, "And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge . . . ?"
Since the formation of the Lord's church He has set men apart for specific service within the body of Christ. The first church at Jerusalem was made up of called out Apostles. (Luke 16:13) This was not an insignificant summons, for the Lord did this only after He had ". . . continued all night in prayer to God."
After the Lord's death, resurrection, and ascension back to the Father, He chose Matthias to be numbered among the Apostles. (Acts 1:24-26) Matthias was the replacement to fill the office " . . . from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place." (v. 25) Matthias was chosen to the same ministry and apostleship as the other apostles. Apostolic responsibility was delegated to him equal to the other eleven apostles. What was Matthias to do? He was to do the work of an apostle. He was to preach repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Although he is not singularly mentioned after his appointment, he was "numbered" (in company) with the eleven.
None of the apostles, including Matthias, had the luxury of considering and changing any portion of their ministry that might be offensive to others. Nor could they simply ignore the false religious path others were taking. It was their responsibility to expose the error of false religion that others might escape being ensnared in their web of deceit.
The Jews were confident that Jesus was a counterfeit, yet Peter declared to them that He was both Lord and Christ. "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." (Acts 2:36) The doctrine of Christ offended the religious Pharisees. "Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." (Matt. 15:7,8) The next verse exposes their debauched activity. "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." (Matt. 15:9) Jesus identified the offenders and exposed their doctrine.
Even the Lord's disciples noticed the resentment of the religious Jews after hearing their false religion identified. "Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?" (Matt. 15:12) The Lord set the example of responsibility that was placed on the apostles. The called out man of God likewise has the responsibility to straightforwardly identify false doctrine and name those who practice it. This is for the protection of those entrusted to his care. The day of apostolic authority has passed with the death of the apostles. Yet the charge to " . . . speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority," has not diminished, except in the mind of those who surrender doctrine for ecumenical acceptance. (Titus 2:15)
The Holy Spirit instructed the church at Antioch to separate Paul and Barnabas " . . . for the work whereunto I have called them." (Acts 13:2) The church laid their hands on them and sent them away to do this work. Although the details were not defined, the work of their calling was clearly identified by their actions. There was no doctrinal compromise nor diminishing of biblical conviction that they might be accepted by false religionist.
This called out pair entered the Jewish synagogue in Antioch of Pisidia on the Sabbath day. After the customary reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue gave Paul and Barnabas an opportunity to speak. What must these men do? They were called and sent out to preach the gospel . . . but were impounded to do other things. Not only did Paul count himself a prisoner of the Lord Jesus (Philemon 1,9), he also was "...made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some," (1 Cor. 9:22). Although Paul had an occupation of tent building, his primary profession was living for Christ and the call to preach the Gospel. (Acts 18:3; Eph. 4:1; 1 Cor. 1:17)
Paul would have been better accepted if he had relinquished his high calling in Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:14). The call to preach the Gospel is above any vocation on earth. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek," (Rom. 1:16). With it comes the great responsibility of tenaciously holding to and preaching the Word of God. Paul charged other called out men to "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine," (2 Tim. 4:2). This charge did not stop with Timothy. "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also," (2 Tim. 2:2). How can any man believe in the perpetuity of the Lord's church and forsake the perpetuity of the charge to the leader/pastor? Paul's charge to the bishop (pastor) in Titus chapter one was to hold "fast the faithful word as he hath been taught." The reason was that he may by "sound doctrine . . . exhort and . . . convince the gainsayers." (Titus 1:9)
What must a pastor do? Those who deny doctrinal truth can only be exposed by sound doctrine. Holding fast to the faithful word (KJV) is the only possible course to take in countering the attack of those who contradict the doctrine of Christ. Paul kept (guarded) the glorious gospel which was committed to his trust (1 Tim. 1:11). He charged Timothy to do the same (1 Tim. 6:20; 2 Tim. 1:14). Paul named some in Asia who once shared his convictions who are " . . . turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes," (2 Tim. 1:15).
Many vain talkers and deceivers are in abundance today as among the religious Jews in Paul's day. (Titus 1:10) Paul said their " . . . mouths must be stopped." The reason being they were subverting " . . . whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake." The religiously fashionable thing today is not to mention the doctrinal fallacies of "the brethren" but join them in ecumenical solidarity. It matters little that not only whole houses but entire churches are caught up in Hybelolatry, Hinnism, Schulleranity, and Grahamouflage. Counterfeit religion has never been as hazardous to the Lord's church as camouflaged doctrine within. Presenting just enough of the truth to conceal the ultimate goal.
The apostle John was exiled to Patmos "...for the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ," (Rev. 1:9). His subject was clear and his motive obvious. John heard the Lord's warning that the " . . . disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord," (Matt. 10:24). Persecution is sure to come to all " . . . who live godly in Christ Jesus," (2 Tim. 3:12). John warned the brethren they were not to be awed " . . . if the world hate you," (1 John 3:13). He had learned this earlier at the feet of the Master. "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." (John 15:18)
John learned on Patmos that he was not alone in suffering " . . . for the word of God." He saw under the altar in heaven " . . . the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and the testimony which they held," (Rev. 6:9). Millions in past centuries have laid down their lives for the doctrinal principles committed to them.
Jude's desire to "write of the common salvation" was interrupted by the need to warn of false prophets and deceivers (Jude 3,4). He reminded them of the souls destroyed in the wilderness because of their yielding to the flesh, and following false leaders. Moses denounced Korah, Dathan, and Abiram by name when they opposed God (Num. 15). God honored Moses by clearly revealing His hatred of false doctrine and leadership.
Jude revealed the characteristic of such degenerate enemies of the truth. They "turned the grace of our God into lasciviousness" and by this denied "the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ," (Jude 4). These were those who had "crept in unawares" among those who were exhorted to "earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Whether they were aware or not of their treacherous work they were "turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness;" filthy, wanton, spiritual adultery.
The faithful church of our Lord has often been crowded to Him because of persecution for the word of God. How different this is today when Baptists sign a covenant of unity with the very Mother of Harlots and her daughters who are responsible for the death of many of their predecessors. Any faithful pastor who warns of such spiritual licentiousness is labeled as a trouble maker, even by many who should stand with him but have neither the courage nor inclination to do so.
Certain men had entered their company denying the doctrine of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. They have counterparts in popular evangelistic enterprises who say that the god of the Muslim, Hindu, Islam, and a myriad of other false religions serve the same God as do Christians. Their argument is much the same as Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. When one heretic interviews another, and false statements are aired to millions, there is a need for a clarion call to warn. The "common salvation" which Jude spoke of is not the doctrine of all religions.
Robert Schuller interviewed Billy Graham on national TV in 1997. Billy Graham has millions of followers and financial supporters. His words are leaded in the rock of lives all over the world. When asked of the spiritual welfare of those of other religious beliefs, Graham made statements contrary to the doctrine of Christ. Graham's doctrine of salvation: "I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ . . . They may not even know the name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something they don't have, and they turn to the only light they have, and I think they are saved, and that they're going to be with us in heaven . . . " (Calvary Contender, 12/1/97) The "I think" at the beginning of this statement settled the matter of salvation in the mind of many. Repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has become unnecessary because Billy Graham said . . . Every false religion believes their god can deliver them. Graham says that even if they do not know the name of Jesus they can go to heaven. What a spectacular opportunity before millions to agree with Peter, and especially before unbelievers. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved," (Acts 4:12)
I know from both experience and observation that any pastor/preacher who takes a stand against false prophets and fallacious professions is open to ecumenical censure. Especially if the identity of prominent religious leaders is revealed. Being labeled as being `mean spirited' and other distinctive criticism is sure to come. This is designed to make the faithful pastor/preacher feel guilty for being faithful to God's word. "Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear," (1 Tim. 5:20). Paul made it clear it was Demas who had forsaken him. (2 Tim 4:10) He also gave the reason as " . . . having loved this present world . . . " It was Alexander the coppersmith who "did (Paul) much evil . . . " (2 Tim. 4:14) He did this by taking a stand against the inspired word of God. Paul made sure others knew what had been done and who did the dirty work.
Too many take the attitude that they have not been called to "straighten out other churches." Indeed a pastor's responsibility is to the church over which the Holy Ghost has made him overseer. (Acts 20:28-31) To be true to the Lord's command he must first be cautious of his own life. Then to all the flock to feed the church of God. The reason is to guard against "grievous wolves" that will spare no member. Spiritual wolves will circle the flock and single out those who are on the outer circumference of doctrinal safety. A wolf will always go back to the flock where he has had the most success. So also is it true of spiritual deceivers. Doctrinally shallow men are enticed to rise up and draw away disciples after them. Faithful pastors abound that have seen Promise Keepers seduce their men to help break down the walls of separation. This means they must drop the doctrine of the local church, scriptural baptism, closed communion. If necessary rid themselves of any pastor who would not cooperate.
John distinctively addressed the conduct and character of such a man. "I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not," (3 John 9) The resurrected Christ, the head of the church, is alone preeminent in all things. (Col. 1:18) A pastor is not seeking to take charge of other churches when he exposes doctrinal error and spiritual delinquency. He is to " . . . speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee," (Titus 2:15). Churches whose leader does not name names and define doctrine is sure to see a diminishing of faithfulness. Faithfulness to local church doctrine is in jeopardy unless famous Baptist(?) evangelist spiritual wolves are exposed for what and who they are.
Like it or not, human nature follows the path of least resistance. It is less demanding to say nothing and take no stand than to fight the good fight of faith. To withstand false doctrine takes more effort than surrendering the spiritual ground of faithfulness. Territory lost to the adherents of ecumenicalism will never be regained. Churches must be warned of the impending danger of compromise even at the cost of popular acceptance. It is not only right but it is the responsibility of the faithful pastor to expose doctrinal error and name names. See A-322: "Is It Right: To Judge, To Expose Error, & To Name Names?" - By E. L. Bynum
