(GOP News & Views) Maybe it is time to once again make reading and writing a requirement to vote. Any society that loses its ambition to teach and learn will soon serve their own god. Greed! Guess who will be elected to office then? Those who promise the most for the least effort. Few learn about God who never learn to read about God. Chaplain's Prayer Against Abortion Stirs Up Anger In Colorado-A guest chaplain who offered a prayer in the Colorado State Senate is under attack for his pro-life prayer. Pastor David Meek of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Greeley offered the following prayer: "I pray, Lord, help this great state of Colorado to be a leader, to be a real leader, Lord Jesus, and Lord, even to reverse the Roe vs Wade so we can stop the killing and murder of the innocent little babies." Four senators walked out of his prayer in protest. (TVC News, 3/8/02) It might be interesting, yet no surprise, who would walk out if the same prayer was prayed at the opening of the U.S. House of Rep. & Senate. What a sad commentary on a nation that was established on the principles of God's Word. The National Cemetery might have to be expanded if God's command concerning taking the lives of the unborn was followed. (See Exo 21:22,23) -WWM

Media's Peaceful Religion-Sudan's "Muslim regime is slaughtering Christians who refuse to convert to Islam, according to the head of an aid group who recently returned from the African nation." (WorldNetDaily, 3/4/02) The report said "women refusing to convert" were gang-raped and mutilated. Of course such Muslims are referred to as `militant, fundamentalist' because of their actions. Liberal officials and media magnates will not accept that the Koran teaches Muslims to perform just such action. Some Christian hymn books are being criticized because of songs that seem too militant. Such as "Onward Christian Soldiers," "Hold The Fort For I Am Coming," and others. Fundamental Christianity is headed for the same criticism. (1 John 3:13) "Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you." -WWM

Catholicism's Musical Chairs?-The Catholic Church's most reliable supporters, conservatives who have traditionally leapt to defend the institutional hierarchy whenever its practices have been questioned, are increasingly irate over the church's handling of the (Catholic) clergy sexual abuse crisis. (Boston Globe, 3/27/02) William Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, a group that fights anti-Catholic bias said, "I don't know of a single Catholic priest or layman who isn't furious about the sex abuse scandal, in terms of the tolerance they [the hierarchy] have had for intolerable behavior and the way they've played musical chairs with these miscreant priests. I've never seen such anger." If this infuriates `conservative' Catholics, why has this been going on for decades without a peep? It seems getting publicity about sin suddenly makes the sin intolerable. So long as they are not caught in the act, Catholicism's confession booth seems to cover a multitude of sin. All John Paul II needs to do is pronounce the offenders clean and the `conservative' Catholic crowd will diminish quickly. Why was not every Catholic immediately `irate' over the sexual abuse crisis, not simply `increasingly irate?' No one there seemed to care who is on the Lord's side. (Exo. 32:26) -WWM

New Mission Method?-Members of 1st Bapt. in Fruitland Park, Fla. waved palm fronds and marched down a street leading to their church, with some wearing Biblical attire, signifying Jesus' ride into Jerusalem with his disciples and friends. They sang hymns as they proceeded, and once they entered the church, a shofar was blown indicating the start of the worship service. Last year the unusual procession resulted in several new members who "wanted to be a part of a church that did things like that." (Crosswalk, 3/26/02) The same group that joined in the celebration of Jesus' ride into Jerusalem were soon joining another crowd that crucified Him. Be careful how you obtain new membership. Beware of making a show to be noticed. (Luke 20:46,47) -WWM

My Son The Girl-Feminist Gloria Steinem refers to masculinity as a cult. She says "masculinity is the basis of every violent, fascist regime. We need to raise our sons more like our daughters, with empathy, flexibility, patience and compassion." (GOP N&V, 3/26/02) Steinem blames heterosexual males for creating Adolph Hitler, the terrorists of 9-11 and mass murderers. (NewsMax.com, 3/24/02) Christian qualities look good when found in both boys and girls. But femininity in men is listed along with unrighteousness, fornication, idolatry, adulterers, homosexuality, thievery, drunkenness and such like. (1 Cor. 6:9,10) Sons and daughters do indeed need to be raised the same spiritually. But if the Kingdom of Heaven is to be theirs, biblical truth of their differences must be taught. Respect for femininity in girls and masculinity in boys is a biblical doctrine. To be otherwise is shameful and indecent. It is little wonder that feminist theologist(?) are behind the TNIV. (Rom. 1:26,27) "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet." -WWM

Rosie: Gays Make Better Parents-Those seeking entertainment from Rosie O'Donnell, take notice!! She says homosexuals make the best parents. "Every homosexual who has a child really wants that child . . . heterosexuals make worse parents because there are half a million kids in foster care..." (NewMax, 3/25/02) Rosie is a promoter of gay adoption and a gun control booster. She is a "die-hard Democrat" who claims to be patriotic. She is in the same category as Ellen DeGeneres and all other gay/lesbian anti-God trash. Not only is it unnatural for homosexuals to be parents (Rom. 1:26,31), it is impossible both physically and spiritually. -WWM

Nat'l. Day Of Appreciation For Abortionist-The ACLU has hit a new low. Sunday, March 10, 2002 was labeled in this manner on their Website: "Organize local appreciation day events. Praise clinic staff and doctors with certificates of appreciation. Write your local newspaper and call talk shows to express support. Place ads in local newspapers and newsletters. Ask your local provider how you can help. Become a volunteer clinic escort. Use your imagination, creativity, and dedication to help create a climate at clinics where women, doctors, and staff can hold their heads high and receive support instead of harassment." Heil Hitler might also be appropriate enthusiasm for a crowd like this. Hitler also killed the unwanted and feeble. Those who could not defend themselves are at the mercy of the merciless even as under the Nazi regime. A partial list of supporters of the ACLU in this are: American Medical Women's Association; National Organization for Women; Clara Bell Duvall Education Fund; People for the American Way; National Council of Jewish Women; Pro-Choice Public Education Project; Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of New York City. Note the majority of these are feminist groups. Stay away from and expose the sin and debauchery of these organizations. - WWM

Teens To Get After-Sex Pill With Groceries-"London: A decision by Britain's largest supermarket chain to hand out free morning-after pills to teenagers has sharpened a debate over efforts to curb the country's rate of youth pregnancies, the highest in Western Europe." In the year 2000 Great Britain recorded 95,000 teenage pregnancies "and the Government has pledged to halve that number by 2010. As part of that effort, the emergency contraception known as the morning-after pill was allowed to be sold over the counter a year ago." Schering pharmaceutical company has been aggressively promoting the pills by "placing advertisements for its Levonelle tablets in magazines aimed at women, and in women's toilets in bars and nightclubs."
