Jesse Jackson A Judicial Joke-All but forgotten is Jackson's admission of out-of-wedlock
child fathering. Add to this, his offering a job in his Rainbow/PUSH Coalition
to former Rep. Mel Reynolds. Reynolds has done time for criminal sexual
assault and solicitation of child pornography. A child molester as a consultant
for prison reform under Jesse Jackson's leadership. (New York Post,
1/30/01) Reynolds appeared with Jackson in the pulpit of Chicago's Salem
Baptist Church. Where will all this end? Be assured it will end in judgment
at the White Throne Judgment of God. (Rev. 2011,12)-(W. W. Mosley, hereafter
WWM) Graham Supporters Finance $2.2 Million Film-A new film, "Road
to Redemption," is aimed at youth who will likely never attend a Billy
Graham Crusade. Tithes and offerings that should be channeled through the
local church are often sent to far-out ministries. Those who support the
Billy Graham Evangelistic Assn. are helping to finance a $2.2 million film.
This film is added to others that preceded it. (Entertainment News,
1/31/01) "Everything in it is absolutely where the young people are
today," said Barry Werner, director of operations at World Wide. "This
isn't your father's Christian movie," said Tim Morgan, a spokesman
for the film. "We've got motorcycle gangs and car chases and `72 Cadillacs
flying through the air and muscle cars ... there are things in here you
wouldn't expect from Billy Graham." Using the world to reach the world
is like catching a squawking chicken to attract other chickens. You may
not understand this unless you grew-up on a farm.-WWM President Bush On God And `Founding Fathers'-Liberals have brazenly
quoted Thomas Jefferson wrong while trying to remove God from the founding
of America. It is a refreshing drink from the spring of national history
to hear a president speak honorably about God in our establishment and endurance
as a nation. President Bush said the founding father "Wrote `The God
who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time' and asked, `Can the liberties
of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties
are of God?'" (World, 2/3/01) Whether godly or ungodly "The
king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth
it whithersoever he will." (Prov. 21:1) -WWM Lilly Endowment Funds Study On Church Fun-Church can be exciting
and fun, concludes a study on church excellence that focuses on 600 congregations
around the nation, including some that are far from traditional. (Religion,
1/26/01) One church profiled was "Warehouse 242 in Charlotte, (NC)
where a Friday night service at a downtown auditorium attracted casually
dressed young people, who got a cup of coffee at the door and a travel mug
to take home. Rock music and preaching shared the stage." Sounds like
a Franklin Graham festival. The study was funded by a $190,000 grant from
the Lilly Endowment. Grants for such studies fall within a $10,000 to $500,000
range. Seems it would save them some money just to ask Hollywood what it
takes to draw a crowd. They use the same tactics. -WWM
Atheists Claim Discrimination-Atheists make up about 5% of the
population in America. (Seems like many more when we consider how society
chooses some leaders.) They use such terms as discrimination, misunderstood,
contempt, and scorned in describing their minority feeling. (KC Star,
1/26/01) One of their complains is having to carry money with the inscription
"In God We Trust" when they don't trust in God. If it bothers
them this much they could give all their money to missions. Or they can
just wait until the White Throne Judgment and hear the One they deny say,
"I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
(Matt. 7:23) Atheists claim to trust science, reason and critical thinking.
All these change but the "...word of our God shall stand forever."
(Isa. 40:8) -WWM Is Planned Parenthood On The Chopping Block?-One of the first
actions of Pres. Bush was to stop funding of abortion groups over seas.
The Catholic League plans to call on its members to urge Congress to no
longer fund Planned Parenthood, according to CNS. (Baptist Press,
1/23/01) This is a pleasant relief from the past eight years of glorifying
the killing of partially born infants just because of the whim of feminist
rights. The least worry of homosexuals is pregnancy, yet they are staunch
supporters of abortion. All such actions labeled as human rights. God hears
the blood of these aborted souls crying from the ground. Keep praying! -WWM
California's New `Tolerance' Laws-CA Gov. Davis signed into law two
bills last year that expose children to information and activities designed
to influence their views about human sexuality and gender identity, including
the areas of homosexuality, bisexuality, transvestitism, transsexuality
and other alternative lifestyles. (Baptist Press, 1/19/01) First
comes a demand for `tolerance' toward false religion then `tolerance' toward
depraved lust. One bill requires `tolerance' education at all public schools
and at all grade levels, including kindergarten. The other bill provide
taxpayer- funded grants to take children on unspecified field trips to teach
them diversity and tolerance. An unspecified field could take children to
a first hand view of all such debauched activity as named above. Pray for
Christian parents every where, and their children. Sodom and Gomorrah are
evidence of God's displeasure of such depraved action. -WWM Falwell Urges Prayer For Jesse-Jerry Falwell urged his fellow
religious leaders to pray for civil rights activist Jesse Jackson in the
wake of charges that Jackson had an extramarital affair that resulted in
the birth of a daughter. Falwell has talked with Jackson concerning this.
(Baptist Press, 1/22/01) "This is not the time to put our foot
down on the neck of anyone because they are down," said Falwell. This
was more than an accusation . . .it was a fact. Neither is it time to glorify
adulterers, fornicators, and whore-mongers. New York Daily News reported
that Jackson took the expectant mother of his out-of-wedlock child to meet
then Pres. Clinton. If Jackson ever has been qualified to be a religious
leader he has forever disqualified himself to be a leader in any true Baptist
church. How can he possibly lead a church if he cannot "possess
his own vessel in sanctification and honour?" (1 Thes. 4:4,5) Or
if he "cannot rule his own house, how shall he take care of the
church of God?" (1 Tim. 3:5) Last Aug. former Pres. Clinton awarded
Jackson the Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. (Ibid.)
Jackson should return the medal and sit down. -WWM Ohio Pharmacist Fired Upholding Personal Convictions-Last month
we reported a CA nurse being fired for refusing to dispense an after the
fact contraceptive. An Ohio pharmacist also was fired for refusing to fill
a prescription for an emergency contraceptive pill. (Baptist Press,
1/29/01) A federal judge has ruled the pharmacist (a woman) can continue
a lawsuit to protect her rights to make this decision. Here is one federal
judge that has better moral convictions than the doctor who wrote the prescription.
This is nothing short of signing a death warrant for an unwanted pregnancy.

International Women's Organizations Unite-Women's Missionary Union,
auxiliary to the SBC, has joined other international women's organizations
in an ecumenical commitment to change the world for Christ. (Baptist
Press, 1/30/01) Campus Crusade for Christ's Women Today; The Salvation
Army Women's Organization, World Evangelical Fellowship's Commission on
Women's Concerns, Aglow International, are among those involved. Speakers
Anne Graham Lotz and Elizabeth Dole and contemporary Christian singer Alicia
Williamson are the main events. How many more SBC women pastors will result
from this? Anne Lotz is accepted by many a bona fide preacher, even by her
evangelist father. -WWM GSAN Fighting Homophobia-In 1998 a youth-led organization was
formed to fight what they claim to be homophobia. The Gay-Straight Alliance
Network originated in Calif. with the purpose in mind to put an end to prejudices
against homosexuality. Their battle-cry is to end a persistent, abnormal,
or illogical fear of the effects of homosexuality. As of Jan. 2001 there
were 150 GSA clubs registered with GSA Network in Northern Calif. This anti-Christian,
God hating, demonic organization has free course in the school systems in
Calif. At the same time the Boys Scouts of America are facing expulsion
from the same school systems because they believe in God, America, and proper
lifestyles. The GSAN will not only survive in Calif., it will very likely
take root in other states. Parents, beware and be warned of school clubs
that entice your children to join. Pray for Christian teachers and students
as they face such situations. -WWM VA House And Senate On God & Country-States are beginning
to take a stand on God & patriotism. The Virginia House of Rep. approved
a bill that would require public schools to display the national motto:
"In God We Trust." At the same time the a VA Senate committee
has endorsed legislation that would require public school students to recite
the Pledge of Allegiance. (Freedom Forum, 1/30/01) In steps You
Know Who! The ACLU says "the bill tramples on student's First Amendment
rights and stigmatizes non-Christians." They oppose required pledge
of allegiance. Satan always opposes national dependence on God the Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit. He knows if he can win this battle, patriotism would
be a push over. Pray that our nation will have and follow heavenly guided
leaders. One committee member said: "Anyone who can't say the pledge
because of philosophical grounds should go elsewhere." Anyone who honors
not God will surely end up somewhere else. -WWM Religious Education For School Children-Once a week an Indiana
school district permits some 1,300 4th & 5th graders to be excused from
class for 30 minutes of religious education. (Freedom Forum, 2/5/01)
Indiana Civil Liberties Union on Feb. 2 asked Judge Larry McKinney to stop
removable trailer classrooms from be moved from school to school for the
religious classes. Indiana law allows students a weekly excused absence
for religious education. Even the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that such
laws are a neutral way of accommodating students' First Amendment right
to practice their religion. Naturally those opposing this practice claim
the non-participating students are punished because they have to remain
in their seats during that time. "Perry Township Supt. Doug Williams
testified that the non-participating student were treated the same as students
who do not go on field trips." I suppose it is old fashioned to think
that school children of this age should remain in their seats until given
permission to arise. -WWM
